# Advance slides from your phone

[Canonical article](https://slides.com/docs/remote-control)

Presentations can be remote controlled from your phone, tablet or other touch-enabled device. To access the remote control, open the [present view](/docs/getting-started-with-presenting) and send yourself a remote control link via SMS:

It's also possible to access the remote control view by going to slides.com in your mobile browser, signing in and navigating to the [speaker view](/docs/speaker-view) URL (slides.com/<username>/<deckname>/speaker).

The remote control page responds to the following touch gestures:

- **Tap:** next slide
- **Swipe left/right/up/down:** change slide in the given direction

The remote control view also shows the elapsed and current time, [speaker notes](/docs/speaker-notes), a presentation progress bar as well as the number of people currently watching a [live presentation](/docs/live-streaming).
