# Edit the HTML behind a slide or block

Your presentation is saved as a standard [HTML](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTML) document. For advanced use cases, you can edit parts of the underlying HTML.

## Slide HTML editor

Enable [developer mode](/docs/developer-mode) to edit the HTML for a complete slide.

## Text block HTML editor

To edit the HTML source of a text block, select **Edit HTML** at the bottom of the block&#39;s configuration options.
