# Add a picture to your public profile

Upload a profile picture to personalize your Slides profile and identify yourself while collaborating with others.

1. Open your [account settings](/docs/settings-page).
2. Under **Profile Photo**, select **Select image**.
3. Choose a square PNG or JPEG image up to 512 × 512 pixels.
4. Select **Save changes**.

If you do not upload a profile picture, Slides uses an existing profile image from your sign-in provider when one is available, then falls back to the [Gravatar](https://gravatar.com) associated with your account email address. Removing an uploaded picture returns your account to the available fallback.
