# Adding horizontal and vertical slides

To add a horizontal slide, select the plus button on the right side of the editor. To add a [vertical slide](/docs/vertical-slides), use the matching button along the bottom edge.

After you&#39;ve clicked either button you will get to choose a [slide template](/docs/slide-templates) to insert.
